“What are you doing here?” the voice demanded, and it sounded as angry as being caught by a teacher in the staff room at school!
A wave of terror swept over her, because it wasn’t a teacher, in fact, it couldn’t be, but it also couldn’t be anyone else, and this definitely wasn’t the staff room or even school. She could feel her heart pounding so hard she thought it might leap out of her chest, and for a moment she almost lost her balance and fell back down the hole. She shouldn’t have come here; they had told her not to.
“Now you are here,” said the voice, “you know you can’t go back!”
