The Tempus Detectives have a new case on their hands. It comes in the form of some missing one of a kind tech stolen by John Smith, a traveling thief who’s just trying to survive. John has no idea what he has stolen which is a big problem for Tim Moorepel, its inventor and a brilliant scientist who had gotten amnesia from a bike accident. Tim’s company calls on Pendle Hawkes and Tempus Detectives for help, but all may not be as it seems.
Meanwhile, Pendle and his sister Jocelyn time slip back into the futuristic war of We The People, the resistance group of under-18 militants. Led by a super soldier named Aut, We The People continues its fight against the domineering corporation out to control whole countries and to kill those resisting them if they get in their way.
Digging deeper into the seemingly impossible Moorepel case will they be in time to recover the invention?
